July 2020

Dear Friends,

We hope you are doing well and adjusting to the changes that we have all had to make in staying safe against COVID-19. We have been observing how other organizations are coping and have decided to join in the fun.

We are happy to announce that we will hold a virtual Summer Series on three Tuesdays in August-August 11, 18 and 25. We will show a different film each of the three weeks. The films will begin at 7:00pm and be available for viewing for 48 hours. There will be no charge to watch the films.

The Wilmington Jewish Film Festival has become known for our dessert receptions and conversations following our screenings. This series, since we cannot congregate in person, we hope to feed your minds with some interesting conversations following each film. More details will be provided as we get closer.

In the meantime, save the dates and be well.

Best Regards,

Debbie Smith

Festival Chair

The Wilmington Jewish Film Festival, in association with the Wilmington United Jewish Appeal and with the support of other community groups, is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization whose mission is, through the screening of excellent films with Jewish content, to promote a deeper understanding of Jewish history and contemporary Jewish culture. We hope to inspire appreciation for the various forms of Jewish identity and to foster a warm sense of community.

We also wish to celebrate our heritage with the general public as we offer the larger community a forum for discussion, debate, and education on the range of Jewish experiences and themes portrayed in the films we screen.
